Disney’s live-action Moana used Fuzzy Door Tech’s ViewScreen suite of real-time production-visualization tools. The system was designed to let the director, cinematographer, VFX supervisor and wider crew see digital environments and characters during the physical shoot.
For a production with significant bluescreen work, this creates a bridge between photography and the final CG environment. Instead of waiting until later VFX stages to understand how the digital world will frame a shot, filmmakers can make visual decisions while production is still underway.
Real-time as a communication layer
